Privacy Policy

Version 1.3. Effective October 12, 2026.

This policy explains what personal information Own It U LLC ("Own It University," "we," "us") collects through uownit.com, our forms, checkout, course, community and messages, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Questions: [email protected].

1. What we collect

  • What you give us on forms. When you fill in our application, booking or contact forms, we collect what you enter, such as your name, email, phone number and your answers to our questions.
  • Purchase details. Checkout is handled by Whop. We never see or store your full card or bank number. Whop shares what we need to run your membership, such as your name, email, what you bought, billing status and the last four digits of your card.
  • Messages. Emails, texts and direct messages you send us, including messages to our Facebook and Instagram accounts, and our replies. Some first replies to direct messages are written by an automated assistant, which tells you it isn't a person and hands you to a person when needed.
  • Website chat. If you use the chat assistant on uownit.com, we collect what you type, the replies, the page you were on and when, plus your name, email or phone if you choose to give them. The chat assistant is automated (AI), not a person. It can hand you to a person, and it doesn't make decisions about you. Please don't enter sensitive information such as card numbers, Social Security numbers or passwords.
  • Course and community activity. Your course progress and logins, and what you post in our Discord community, to the extent the platform shows it to us.
  • Calls. If you book a call, the booking details. Calls may be recorded, and we tell you at the start.
  • Device and browsing data. Your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and the link that brought you to us, collected automatically through cookies and pixels, including the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API (see Section 4).

We don't ask for Social Security numbers, government ID numbers or bank account numbers.

2. How we use it

  • To deliver what you bought, set up your accounts and give you access to the course, community and VIP.
  • To answer your questions (including through the website chat), follow up on your application or booking, and provide support.
  • To send you emails, and texts if you agreed to get them (see Section 5).
  • To measure and improve our ads and website.
  • To prevent fraud, abuse and account sharing.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information for money. We also may disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or our members' safety, or as part of a sale or merger of our business (we'll tell you if that happens).

4. Cookies, the Meta Pixel and the Conversions API

Our website uses cookies and similar tools that are:

  • essential, so forms and checkout work;
  • analytics, to see how visitors use the site; and
  • advertising, through the Meta Pixel.

When you visit our pages, fill in a form or buy, we send Meta information about those actions so we can measure our ads and show ads to people likely to be interested. When we send it from our servers (the Conversions API), we may include your email address or phone number in hashed form (scrambled one way, so it can't be read), so Meta can match the action to an ad.

Under some state laws, including California's, this counts as "sharing" for targeted advertising. You can opt out by emailing [email protected] with "Opt out of ad sharing", and we honor Global Privacy Control signals where the law requires. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, and change your ad settings in your Facebook and Instagram accounts.

5. Email and text messages

  • Email. We send account, purchase and service emails. Marketing emails always include an unsubscribe link.
  • Text messages. We send texts only if you agreed to receive them. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop and HELP for help.
  • Your number stays with us. Your phone number and your consent to receive texts are never shared with, sold to or rented to anyone else for their own marketing.

6. How long we keep it

  • Account and purchase records: for as long as you're a member, then up to 7 years for tax and accounting.
  • Applications and form answers: up to 3 years from your last contact with us, unless you become a member.
  • Website chat conversations: up to 2 years from the conversation, unless they become part of your member or support record.
  • Call recordings: up to 3 years.
  • Marketing lists: until you unsubscribe or opt out.

After that we delete or de-identify the information, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • see the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct it;
  • delete it (subject to records we must keep by law);
  • opt out of marketing, and of "sharing" for targeted advertising.

We extend these rights to everyone, wherever you live. To use them, email [email protected] from the email address we have for you. We'll verify it's you and respond within 45 days. We won't treat you differently for using your rights.

8. Children

Our services are for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If we learn we have, we delete it.

9. Security

We use reasonable safeguards and rely on our providers' security, including Whop's payment security. No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we'll notify you as the law requires.

10. Outside the United States

We're based in Michigan, and your information is processed in the United States. If you live elsewhere, your country's privacy laws may give you additional rights, and we'll honor them on request.

11. Coming features

An AI coach and a deal calculator are coming to VIP members. Before either one launches, we'll update this policy to explain what information it uses.

12. Changes to this policy

When we update this policy, we change the version number and effective date above, and we email members about material changes.
